Junior Golf Camp 2009


Dates: July 9-12, 2009

Who is Eligible: Any young man or young woman ages 11 through 18. (High School Seniors who have already graduated from High School are eligible to attend).

Camp enrollment: The session will be limited to the first 50 campers. Early registration is recommended. The session will be organized into groups according to ability level. Upon receipt of your enrollment you will be sent a packet containing medical, travel and roommate request forms.

Tuition:
 $650 for resident camper

 $495 for a commuter camper


Cancellation policy: If for any reason a camper has to cancel his registration a $75 service fee will be withheld from the refund.  No cancellations within 2 weeks of camp start date. Please allow 4-6 weeks to process refunds. Discount for former 2008 campers: Fifty dollars off registration fee per referral, up to five campers.

Arrival and Departure: Registration will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 9 at Weatherford Hall on the Oregon State Campus. Camp instruction will begin at 2:00 PM on that day. On the final day of camp, Tournament Day, the camper will be free to go by 2:00 PM following awards and a camp barbecue. Parents are welcome to come early and watch some golf on that day.

Typical Daily Schedule:
7:30 AM - Wake up and Breakfast
9:00 AM - Stations for instruction (campers will rotate through 4 stations)
12:00 PM - Lunch and free time
2:00 PM - Play or Stations
6:00 PM - Dinner
7:00 PM - Intramurals/Fun Activity
10:00 PM - Lights Out


Housing and Food: All campers will be housed in Oregon State University campus housing and will be assigned 2 to a room. You may request to room with another camper on the registration form. Meals will be provided at West Dinning Hall adjacent to the dormitory.

Health and Safety: Collegiate Players will serve as group leaders and counselors both in the dorm and at the golf course. We will have a certified athletic trainer on site or on call during the entire camp.

What to bring: Golf Attire, laundry bag, toiletries, golf shoes, golf balls, suntan lotion, golf hats, sleeping bag or sheets and blankets, pillow, towels, fan and spending money (about $20.00-30.00).  Trysting Tree has golf pull carts if you need one please only bring your golf bag.

What’s included: Camp picture, Camp T-shirt, room and board, and all meals during camp, greens fees and range balls. Commuter fee’s cover all of the above except breakfast and room.

Camp Conduct:
All of our camps are intended to be a fun learning experience. Any behavioral misconduct, use of drugs or alcohol, and smoking are grounds for immediate dismissal from camp with no refund.


NCAA Guidelines: NCAA Guidelines prohibit payment of camp expenses (transportation, camp tuition, spending money, etc.) by representatives of Oregon State University athletic interests (boosters, staff, etc). NCAA rules also prohibit free or reduced camp admission for prospects (ninth grade or above). If you have any questions please notify camp administrators prior to attending camp.

Instructors include: Oregon State Coaches: Rise Lakowske and Kailin Downs Portland State University Head Coach: Kathleen Takaishi and other Collegiate Coaches and Team members will make up the remainder of the staff.
