OREGON STATE GOLF CAMP

FACILITIES

Trysting Tree Golf Club was built in 1986, and is considered to be one of the premier public golf courses in the Northwest. Just five minutes from the OSU campus, Trysting Tree is a versatile golf course varying in length from 5500 yards to 7,100 yards at a par of 72. Trysting Tree offers a variety of shots and is considered one of the best collegiate facilities in the country. It has hosted numerous post season events including the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Regional in 2001. The practice facilities at Trysting Tree include a 10,000 foot practice putting and chipping green, an expansive driving range with one end being used for teaching, the OSU golf teams, and camps.  Also there is a three-hole par-three golf practice area that allows each player to work on their short game from 175 yards and in. One fairway bunker and two greenside bunkers are also important elements of the practice facilities.

The Beaver Den, the players lounge, is also an excellent area to relax and for meetings. Campers will have access to this area.

All campers will be housed in Oregon State University campus housing in the Weatherford Dorms and will be assigned two to a room.

Thanks to an excellent grounds crew the course is in superb shape year round, unusual for a public golf course. The course is in such good shape that in 1998 Golfweek Magazine named it the third best college golf course on the West Coast.
